Madison Seramur is a senior from Indiana majoring in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies with a Politics concentration and a Writing minor. She is passionate about grassroots activism and environmental policy with an emphasis on environmental inequality and injustice. She is also very passionate about local sustainability efforts and interacting with community-centered efforts in environmentalism. Madison is excited to be a part of the Center for the Environment team because she is eager to engage with sustainability and climate-conscious groups here at WashU and in the St. Louis region, as most of her past experience in environmentalism has been back at home in Indiana, particularly surrounding the Indiana Dunes. In her free time she enjoys painting, writing poetry and short essays, spending time in nature, and hanging out with her cat, Zag.
