Alex Morales-Heil is a program manager for the Center for the Environment where she supports community engaged research, undergraduate research programming, and an educational coordinating committee.  Alex has been at the university since 2019 and previously served as the administrative coordinator for the WashU Climate Change Program.  She holds degrees in both Mathematics and Elementary Education from Washington University in St. Louis and spent seven years teaching in St. Louis area elementary schools, including experience in curriculum and program design.  Alex has received training in systems thinking for educators and experiential-place based education. She served on the board of directors for  Educators for Social Justice from 2012-2016.
