A BioBlitz is an  period of biological surveying, where scientists, naturalists, and volunteers work together to identify and record as many species of plants, animals, fungi, and other organisms as possible within a designated area and time frame. This BioBlitz will be between April 22nd-April 29th, in the St. Louis region.

These events often take place in parks, nature reserves, or other areas with diverse ecosystems. BioBlitzes are not only valuable for documenting biodiversity but also for raising public awareness about the importance of conservation and environmental stewardship.
